Address and Directions:
Tübingen is easily accessible by plane, train and car, though the best way to get round the city is by bus (http://www.svtue.de), bike (http://www.nextbike.de/en/tuebingen/), or on foot
From Stuttgart airport by car via B27 in 25 minutes to the centre of Tübingen, or by airport shuttle, „Airport Sprinter“ No. 828, in 50 minutes to Tübingen's bus terminal. The bus runs every 30 minutes from the central bus stop in Stuttgart to multiple stops in Tübingen.
From Stuttgart central station it takes just 55 minutes to Tübingen. The railway station (Hauptbahnhof) is located just across the river from the Old Town. The Institute is 5 minutes walk away.
From the autobahn A8 (München-Stuttgart) via B27 in 30 minutes; from autobahn A81 (Singen-Heilbronn) via B28 in 25 minutes. Tübingen contains a Green Zone, where environmental badges are obligatory for every vehicle. This measure was taken to cut down pollution.
The historical city of Tübingen (and the Institute) is not accessible by car. There are car parks nearby, but please note that parking is expensive in Tübingen.
The Institute for Christian Origins is located in the Tübingen Old Town (Altstadt). Our address is in the heart of Tübingen, a few minutes' walk from the main train station. It is directly below the main church (the "Stiftskirche") and very close to the "Evangelisches Stift", a residence for theology students.
There are a number of small shops on the street level (e.g. a tea shop).
